I am a chemical risk assessor at BIOR in Riga. My current work brings together occurrence, exposure, toxicological and literature evidence to compare chemical risks and develop transparent methods for assessment and monitoring priorities.

From Data to Decisions

I lead a project connecting Latvian food and feed contaminant data with food consumption and toxicological reference values. The aim is to compare risks consistently, make uncertainty visible and support decisions about assessment and monitoring priorities.

How I work

My practice is a connected process: organise the evidence, assess what it means, build usable methods, and explain the reasoning clearly.

  1. Synthesise

    Bring occurrence, consumption, toxicological and literature evidence together while keeping provenance and limitations visible.

  2. Assess

    Evaluate exposure, uncertainty, risk–benefit trade-offs and priorities.

  3. Build

    Turn fragmented evidence into databases, toolkits and transparent comparison methods.

  4. Communicate

    Make the scientific reasoning useful to decision-makers, specialists, students and public audiences.

Collaborate

I welcome collaborations on combining contaminant-occurrence datasets, extracting evidence from the literature, and developing dietary-exposure and risk-prioritisation methods. I am particularly interested in projects connecting analytical laboratories, research groups and public risk-assessment institutions.
